NEW ALBANY, IN (WAVE) – The case in the trial against William Clyde Gibson for the murder of Christine Whitis is now in the hands of the jury.
The case was handed to the jury at 4:20 p.m. Friday.
Gibson's defense team rested Friday morning after calling
only one witness in the suspected serial killer's first murder trial.
Closing arguments began at 1 p.m. following the lunch recess.
The prosecution rested its case Thursday afternoon after calling 22 witnesses to the stand.
