Hospital will open a new emergency room in Perrysburg, but this one is unique.
will be the first free-standing ER in the city. The facility will feature a
helipad for emergency helicopter landings and 30-40 staff members capable of
treating heart attacks, strokes and pediatric emergencies.
15,000-square-foot building will be open 24 hours a day and is located on Route
25 near I-475. Mercy officials say they wanted to bring comprehensive care
south of Toledo because of the growing population in the area.
