TOLEDO, OH (Toledo News Now) -
Toledo Police are searching for a man they say caused an accident that killed a man in south Toledo earlier this year.
James Steele, Sr., 57, was killed in a hit and run accident on the afternoon of Sunday April 21.
Police say a stolen SUV barreled through the intersection at Western Avenue and Marion Street, clipping the rear fender of a car before veering left of center and hitting the Chevy Blazer Steele was driving head-on. Steele's wife and grandson were also in the car and hurt in the accident.
On Monday, police said the driver of that SUV was 25-year-old Alberto Selvera. Selvera is now wanted on warrants for vehicular homicide, aggravated assault and 23 other misdemeanor offenses.
Selvera is 5'7" tall, weighs about 220 pounds and has black hair and brown eyes. Anyone with information about Selvera's whereabouts is asked to call Crimestopper at 419-255-1111.
