The death of an Evansville teen, who died after he was hit by a car this weekend, is concerning neighbors living near the crash site.

18-year-old Cole Deck died Sunday morning at Deaconess Hospital. He was hit by a truck while he was riding his bike on north St. Joe Saturday night.

Authorities do not believe alcohol, drugs, or speeding were factors in the crash, but the accident has people living nearby worried about the possible dangers of the road.

"My kids are out here and grandkids playing in the street out here and going out to get the mail. It's pretty rough out here, especially when the sun goes down," neighbor Mike Delaney said.

"It kind of is surprising a little bit, because of how fast some people do drive through here at times, that nobody's probably been hit or something seriously happened like this," said Phillip Decker, who lives near the site.

The 23-year-old driver who hit Cole is not facing any charges.
