The McCracken County Sheriff's Office says an arson suspect has turned himself in to authorities.
Troy D. Thompson, 48, was wanted by the McCracken County Sheriff's Department for charges stemming from an investigation at 3712 Clarks River Road Lot 61.
In 2011, the victim contacted the sheriff's department saying she saw a neighbor go behind her home. Shortly after, she discovered a pile of leaves on fire, next to the home. The fire was quickly extinguished by the victim before serious damages were done. Deputies discovered a cigarette had been configured with other items to ignite the leaves. It was apparent the fire was not accidental.
On August 8, 2013, a McCracken County Grand Jury indicted Troy D. Thompson on an arson 1st degree charge. Thompson was known to be living in Calloway County on Radio Road and no longer lives there.
