LENAWEE COUNTY, MI (Toledo News Now) -

Leaders in Lenawee County are working to bring new life into old buildings by creating a lank bank. The bank's first purchases were made this week.

The Lenawee County Land Bank purchased 15 properties this week; five of them were in downtown Adrian.

Once the land bank owns a property, there are certain rules and restrictions on who they can sell it to. Those rules ensure the building will be put to good use and not sit vacant.

Development leaders say this will eventually bring more business to the area.
