Demolition began Monday at the future site of a luxury condo development coming to Hyde Park.
Greiwe Development, who partnered with North American Properties to build the condominium developments adjacent to Mariemont Village Square, will demolish five apartment buildings to make way for '2770 Observatory'.
The existing apartment buildings were built in the 1930s, '40s and '50s and are being cleared to make way for the project.
The area is located near Hyde Park Square at the intersection of Observatory and Shaw avenues and along the south side of Linshaw Court.
Construction crews are expected to complete the demolition process before the holidays. The completion date for the project has not been released.
