SYLVANIA, OH (Toledo News Now) -
The hill at the Sylvan Prairie Park will be getting some much needed cleaning. The director of the Olander Park systems says they are working on minimal work, like picking up rocks and clearing brushes, for the upcoming winter.
In 2014, they plan on re-shaping the site to make it even more accessible. For parents, it provides more opportunities to play with their kids during the cold months.
"It's something for the kids to do in the winter" said Sylvania resident Anthony Mason.
"Cause there is not much to," said his wife Marie Mason.
"There is not much to do I believe it will give us a good outlet, blow off some steam," said Anthony.
"And get our sleds out of the garage," said Marie.
If all goes as planned, the hill would also be able to be used in the summer for activities like hiking and star gazing.
