TIFFIN, OH (Toledo News Now) -
A man has been charged in connection to a police standoff at an apartment complex on Sandusky Street in Tiffin.
Seth McMeen, who lives at the apartment complex, has been charged with inducing panic and discharging a weapon in the city limits.
Just after 2 a.m. Thursday police responded to reports of gun shots at an apartment on Sandusky between Market and Perry. Officers reportedly smelled gun powder upon entering the apartment complex, where they saw McMeen running upstairs. Police say he later ran back downstairs and exited with evacuating residents.
McMeen and three others were later taken in for questioning. Detectives found evidence confirming him as the person who fired a gun. He is the only one to be charged so far, though police say one other male may be charged upon further investigation. No injuries were reported.
Police are executing a search warrant on the apartment, and will be testing the other detainees for gun shot residue.
