TIFFIN, OH (Toledo News Now) -
A Tiffin man accused of starting a standoff appeared in court for the first time Friday morning.
The situation began early Thursday morning after police responded to reports of gun shots at an apartment complex on Sandusky Street. When officials went into the complex, they say they saw Seth McMeen running upstairs. They thought he had barricaded himself in an upstairs apartment, but police say he actually snuck into another one and then evacuated with other tenants.
Detectives say they found evidence confirming McMeen fired the gun.
McMeen pleaded not guilty in court. His bond was set at $15,000.
