SWANCREEK TOWNSHIP, OH (Toledo News Now) -
A Fulton County woman is dead after police say she failed to stop at a stop sign and was hit by an Ohio Department of Transportation vehicle.
The Ohio State Highway patrol says 34-year-old Melissa S. Clinard, of Delta, was driving southbound on County Road 3 in Swan Creek Township around 8:45 a.m. Tuesday when she failed to stop a the stop sign at County Road 3 and County Road D.
Clinard's 2013 Honda Odyssey was struck on the driver's side by an ODOT vehicle being driven by 44-year-old Mark Nissen of Perrysburg, according to the patrol.
Clinard was pronounced dead at the scene. Nissen was not hurt. The accident remains under investigation by the patrol.
