election results have put Toledo City Council's future up in the air. Tuesday
was council's first regular meeting since the election, but there were no signs
of the uncertainty among members.

current 12 members will remain on the job until January. On Tuesday, they
handled business as usual.
Theresa Gabriel, Adam Martinez and Larry Sykes will have to wait until at least
Friday to see if they'll be a member of council next year. Gabriel leads the
other two for the second-to-last council seat. Current Councilman Martinez
leads Sykes by only 34 votes for the final seat. Gabriel is only 109 votes
ahead of Sykes.
