Dewayne Thompson, wanted in the wounding and kidnapping of 17-year-old Katelyn Beard, has been captured by Jackson Police. He was taken into custody around 5:45 in west Jackson near where Beard's vehicle was found earlier today.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol says a 2013 Toyota Yaris with Illinois registration was stopped for speeding on I-75 just north of the Ohio Turnpike just before 3 a.m. on Tuesday. Troopers say they smelled marijuana in the car, which prompted a search.
According to the patrol, troopers found 20 individually wrapped packages of crack cocaine, a small amount of marijuana and 130 Oxycodone pills.

Deonte Riley, 25, of Detroit was charged with possession of cocaine and trafficking in cocaine, possession and trafficking in a schedule II substance, possession of a schedule II substance, possession of a schedule IV substance and providing a police officer with false information after troopers say he tried to give them false identification.
Another passenger, Tarale Leon Demand, 24, also of Detroit, was charged with possession of marijuana and released.
