Cleveland (WOIO) - Kyrie Irving suffered a nasal fracture during Wednesday's loss to the Minnesota Timberwolves, tests have shown, but the Cavaliers point guard does plan on playing Friday night against the Charlotte Bobcats at the "Q".
The injury occurred in the first quarter, when Corey Brewer's elbow struck Irving in the face. Irving left the court and went to the locker room for X-rays, which were negative, and did return to the game, leading the Cavs with 20 points. But additional imaging and examination at the Cleveland Clinic showed a minimally displaced right nasal fracture.
