Ross High School sophomore arrested for 'terroristic threats'

HAMILTON, OH (FOX19) -

A high school sophomore was arrested Friday after threatening to take out his principal and take over the school.

Ross Township Police have arrested a 17-year-old male student at Ross High School, Ross Local School District announced today. The school is located in the 3600 block of Hamilton Cleves Road in Hamilton.  

The situation has been developing over the past 48 hours. Police say that the sophomore told a friend earlier in the week that he wanted to bring a gun to school, shoot the principal and take control of the building.

The teen is currently being charged as a juvenile with aggravated menacing and making terroristic threats. The teen has been expelled from school.
