CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) -

A Cincinnati man was indicted on one count of conspiracy to commit murder after investigators received information that he tried to kill a person set to testify against him in court.

The alleged murder-for-hire plot involves 21-year-old Kendall Flucas.

Flucas is facing two counts of felonious assault charges and one count of attempted robbery for a different case in September. Authorities said Flucas, a student at Cincinnati State, allegedly hit a delivery man in the head with a large rock in a restroom at the school.

According to police, the victim fell to the floor and when he tried to get up and fight back, Flucas continued to hit him with the rock and punch him several times.

Flucas allegedly stole the victim's money and left the restroom with the victim lying on the floor. Someone else entered the restroom later and found the delivery man, who was transported to Bethesda North Hospital and received two staples in his head.

At the time of the Cincinnati State incident, Flucas was on three years probation for a robbery charge.

Through police investigation and review of recorded phone calls, authorities learned of an alleged murder-for-hire plot involving the victim in Flucas' case.

Flucas was indicted Tuesday on one count of conspiracy to commit aggravated murder. He's currently being held in the Hamilton County Justice Center.
