Portland Trailblazer and former Cleveland Cavalier point guard Mo Williams has been suspended one game without pay after an altercation with Golden State Warriors center Andrew Bogut. The NBA announced Monday that Williams and Bogut will both be sidelined for one game without pay.

The fight started when Bogut and Trailblazers' center Joel Freeland got tangled up underneath the basket, Bogut was angered when Freeland hit him in the back with his elbow. Bogut then responded with a right elbow that grazed Freeland's chin, that's when Williams, Lamarcus Aldridge and Wesley Matthews came to the defense of their teammate. Williams and Green were both ejected due to the part they played in the tussle between Bogut and Freeland.

The league also fined Aldridge $45,000, Matthews and Green were fined $20,000, for escalating the incident. "That inspired us," Matthews said to reporters after the fight. "We got better from it, we got stronger from it." Williams, who will miss Monday's game against the New York Knicks, has averaged 9.5 points per game and is the Blazers' top bench player.
