Several students at Madisonville North Hopkins High School assembled baskets of food for Thanksgiving dinner Monday morning.
The 30 baskets went to families who were in need.
The students raised over $2500 worth of donations and food items for those families.
"Seeing that most kids here do get to have a Thanksgiving and spend it with the family knowing that they are able to have a Thanksgiving with family and that I was a part of giving someone else that. It makes you feel good about yourself. You did something most people don't get to say they do in life, giving back is always good," said senior Shawna Welshans.
And all the items were either student bought or student donated for the food drive.
