The driver of a propane truck died Friday morning in a wreck that was most likely caused by icy conditions.
The Clay County Sheriff's Office said they were called to a crash about 9 a.m. at Northeast 142nd and Petty Road.
When officials arrived they found the driver unresponsive and their efforts to revive him failed.
The sheriff's office said their initial investigation shows that the driver wasn't able to negotiate a curve due to the icy conditions and his truck slid off the roadway, hitting a tree.
The driver's identity won't be released until family is notified.
