GIBSON CO., IN (WFIE) -

Two juveniles in Gibson County have been taken into custody after an overnight break-in.

Gibson County deputies and Princeton police officers responded to the 100 block of East Spring Street in Patoka around 2:47 Saturday morning.

Authorities say the homeowner found their back door of their house wide open and the TV unplugged.

Once at the scene, authorities say they followed footsteps in the snow that appeared to be leaving the scene to another home in Patoka. We're told that was where one of the juveniles confessed to breaking into the house. That juvenile was taken into custody and transported to the Vincennes Youth Village.

Deputies say after investigation, another juvenile was taken into custody at a home in Princeton.

Authorities say they recovered property that was reported stolen at the victim's house.

The Gibson County Sheriff's Office says both juveniles are being held until the Gibson County Circuit Court resumes court on Monday at 9 a.m.
