A burning cross, a Smith county man beaten and shot by a family member, and in critical condition. We are told this is much more than a family feud, and outraged family members are calling it a "hate crime."
Schools will have a new face patrolling the halls next year. City council just
approved funds for a school resource officer – the first for the district.
officials are still figuring out the role the officer will play in the
district, but they say this is great news and will increase safety for
Perrysburg School District was the largest in northwest Ohio without a school
resource officer. Superintendent Tom Hosler says having one is invaluable. The
officer will help with bullying, crime prevention and guiding students in an
ever-changing, sometimes cruel school environment.
