ASHTABULA COUNTY, OH (WOIO) -

Carla Hague has now been indicted on charges she tried to kill her husband, a judge, by poisoning him.

Hague has been charged with attempted murder and contaminating a substance for human consumption, both first-degree felonies. She remains held on a $100,000 bond.

Prosecutors say the 71-year-old woman gave her husband anti-freeze this past September. He survived.

The Ashtabula County Prosecutor's Office will have no involvement in the case. Handling the state's case will be Leigh Bayer, assigned by the Ohio Attorney General's Office.

The victim, Charles Hague, is a Common Pleas Juvenile/Probate Court with Ashtabula County.
