Berea, OH (WOIO) - Kellen Winslow tried to stir things up on Wednesday, and add a little flavor to what is otherwise a flat late-season matchup, but the Browns weren't biting.
Winslow told ESPNNewYork.com that the Browns can't cover him. "Really, they can't guard me. That's how I feel, and I can't be guarded, you know?"
"Who's going to guard me over there? Nobody," Winslow said. "That's how I feel, and that's how I play the game. That's how you gotta play the game. You've just got to play the game, and that's all."
Friday, the Browns dismissed the comments.
"It's no secret that K2 (Winslow) likes to run his mouth a lot, so I'm not surprised", D'Qwell Jackson said following Friday's practice. "I'm happy that he's with a team and doing well, but we game plan for the guys who are going to be on the field."
That hasn't often been Winslow this season. The 30-year former Browns star signed a one-year deal with the Jets, but has only 27 receptions and two touchdowns.
