A man from Myrtle Beach, South Carolina and a teenager, who authorities say was possibly high after inhaling Duster, have both died of their injuries suffered in a serious accident.
It happened on U.S. 231, just north of Witz Road around 8:30 Friday morning.
The Dubois County Sheriff's Office says 18-year-old Marcos A. Ayala, of Huntingburg, was driving south when his vehicle crossed the center line and hit another vehicle head-on, driven by 49-year-old Earl B. Cox, of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.
Deputies say the debris from the crash then hit the vehicle that was driven by Lyndel G. Wasson, He was driving behind Ayala.
The sheriff's office says both Ayala and Cox had to be cut from their vehicles and died at area hospitals.
Authorities say there was one passenger from each vehicle were both taken to Memorial Hospital and then transferred to St. Mary's due to their injuries.
Wasson and the passenger in his vehicle were not hurt.
Deputies say the accident is still under investigation.
The sheriff's office was assisted by Jasper First Responders, Memorial EMS, Jasper Police Department, Huntingburg Police Department, and the Dubois and Vanderburgh County Coroner's Offices.
