CLARKSVILLE, IN (WAVE) - An adult business was slapped with nearly a dozen additional citations as police followed up on several citations issued in November.
Clarksville Police Chief Mark Palmer said Theatair X still hasn't cleaned up its act.
On November 14, Clarksville Police conducted a sting at Theatair X, located on U.S. 31, after receiving a tip about illegal sex acts at the store. During the sting officers arrested three men for indecent exposure and issued 11 citations for building code violations involving holes cut in booths that connect them to adjoining booths
Clarksville Police Chief Mark Palmer said Theatair X said during the November sting Theatair X management was told they had 30 days to repair the holes that gave customers access to one another.
When officers conducted a follow up on Monday Palmer said the manager had not fixed the problems and some booths had multiple occupants, which is a violation of the town ordinance.
Officers issued 11 additional citations, including citations against the manager who is responsible for making sure only one person occupies a booth at a time.
Palmer said, "It is his responsibility to make sure, to ensure these types of things are not going on. It states in the ordinance that he is responsible for going around checking, on a daily basis that these holes do not exist, if they do exist, taking steps to correct the problem."
The case has now been handed to a Clark County judge.
