KNOXVILLE, TN (RNN) – In a battle of the two oldest colleges in the state, the Tennessee Volunteers welcome the Tusculum College Pioneers at 2 p.m. on Saturday.

The game will be a regular season game for the 8-4 Volunteers, but an exhibition game for the D-II Pioneers. The visitors are 1-11 and at the bottom of the South Atlantic Conference standings.

The Volunteers hope to continue a three-game winning streak. Their last game came on Monday in an 87-52 victory over the Virginia Cavaliers. Tennessee pounced on Virginia quickly and never trailed in the game. The Vols went 22 of 45 from the foul line and 11 of 18 from downtown.

This will be the third consecutive D-I team the Pioneers have played this season (Notre Dame, East Tennessee State University). The last game for the Pioneers was a 108-87 loss to ETSU on Dec. 17.

The Pioneers' leading scorer is senior guard Addison Flynn, averaging 17.5 points per game. The Volunteers leading scorer is senior guard Jordan McRae with 18.9 points per game.

Tusculum averages 80 points per game, but allows 91.6 points per game this season.
