ATHENS, GA (RNN) – The Georgia Bulldogs will host the Alabama Crimson Tide on Saturday in a battle of two seven-win teams trying make a statement early in the 2014 SEC schedule.

The Bulldogs (7-6, 1-0 SEC) will host their first SEC game of 2014 after the major upset of the No. 21-ranked Missouri Tigers in Columbia, SC on Wednesday, their first win against a ranked team since February 2012 (Mississippi State). The emotional 70-64 win in overtime came following the death of Georgia head coach Mark Fox's father. The game is Georgia's first home game in three weeks.

Alabama (7-7, 1-0 SEC) is making its first SEC road trip of the season on a two-game winning streak that includes a 68-63 win over Vanderbilt on Tuesday.

The Crimson Tide leads the all-time series 93-47, including the last five meetings against the Bulldogs and is 32-29 in the Classic City.

Trevor Releford is the leading scorer for Alabama, averaging 18.3 points per game. Sophomore guard Charles Mann is the leading scorer for the Dawgs, averaging 13.4 points per game.

Both teams are very similar, with Georgia averaging 71.6 points per game and Alabama averaging 72.3 points per game.

Tipoff will be at 4 p.m. ET on SEC TV.
