FORT WORTH, TX (WFAA/CNN) - Dozens protested outside the hospital where a pregnant woman remains on life support Sunday.
Marlise Muñoz was found unconscious on Nov. 26.
Her family says the 33-year-old is brain dead. They want her removed from life support, but state law requires that her body be sustained because she is nearly 20 weeks pregnant.
Protesters weighed in on both sides of the issue.
"We just don't want the hospital or, if it goes to court, to forget that there is a child involved," a woman named Carol said.
"Her family doesn't want life support for her, and we don't feel it is right for the state or the hospital to force this on her," Autumn Brackeen said.
Attorneys for the Muñoz family are expected to launch a legal fight this week.
