(CNN) - The amount of guns confiscated by airport security is on the rise.
According to numbers released by the TSA, 1,828 guns were seized in 2013. Compare that to 1,123 in 2010.
The most were found in Atlanta, followed by Dallas-Fort Worth.
TSA's policy says that firearms, ammunition and firearm parts cannot be in carry-on baggage.
Unloaded firearms, stored in locked, hard-sided containers can be transported as checked baggage.
