A Campbell County man has been arrested on 20 counts of animal cruelty after deputies conducted a several week investigation of a puppy mill.
Dennis Kramer, owner of Kramer Krift Farm, faces up to twelve months in jail or $500 per fine.
Investigators say they found 18 dogs of various breeds kenneled in 14 cages outside the home in deplorable conditions. Police say the dogs had no fresh food or water, were covered in feces and urine and exposed to the twenty-degree temperatures with no shelter.
"Deputy Harney got a tip a few weeks ago about the conditions of the dogs at the home of Mr. Kramer," says Sheriff Kidwell of the Campbell County Sheriff's Office. "After completing our investigation including the use of satellite images for identification of outside kennels, we believed the evidence warranted further investigation and a visit to the property that resulted in the arrest."
The Campbell County Sheriff's Office is continuing their investigation.
