Cincinnati Christian University is hosting the Cincinnati premier of the movie Ragamuffin: The True Story of Rich Mullins on Wednesday night, January 22nd at 7:00 p.m.
The Gospel Music Award Winning artist attended CCU between 1974-1978 and lived in the city until 1980. One of the most revered Christian Music artists of his time, Mullins tragically passed away in a car accident in 1997.
Parts of the movie were shot on location at CCU's campus last year and other portions were shot at The Gilligan Funeral Home in Walnut Hills. The film was independently developed and directed by David Leo Schultz of Orange County, California.
CCU Director of Marketing Steve Carr said, "CCU is proud of Mullin's legacy and Ragamuffin is a powerful story of redemption that reflects key aspects of our Christian faith."
CCU is not profiting from this screening; all proceeds will go to recoup the cost of making the film. More information can be found at www.CCUniversity.edu/Ragamuffin
