MICHIGAN CITY, IN (WLS/CNN) - A massive multi-vehicle pile-up shut down an Indiana highway Thursday.
Authorities say the crash involves at least 15 semitrucks and "too many vehicles to count."
Two people are confirmed dead, and more may be trapped inside vehicles underneath semitrailers.
Authorities are bringing in heavy equipment to help with the search.
Warming buses are being provided for people whose vehicles were involved in the crash.
The National Weather Service called for up to 6 inches of snow in the region, with temperatures topping out at 12 degrees.
