Richmond Police have another homicide to investigate, this time on the southside.
"Very surprised, very shocked, and I just don't understand people killing people," said neighbor Tim Pittenger.
Police say they got a call at around 1:50 a.m. Friday about a disturbance. When they arrived, they found a woman shot in her car. She died at the scene.
"I heard gunshots, but I checked on my son, everything was fine so I went and laid back down. I couldn't shake it so I stayed up for a little while," said Cynthia Morris.
Police say the shooting is not random, but for some, that does little to bring them comfort since the crime happened so close to home. Others say this tragic shooting just reminds them to be more watchful for themselves and for their neighbors.
Police are following up on several leads. If you have any information that can help police, call Crime Stoppers at 780-1000.
