Dewayne Thompson, wanted in the wounding and kidnapping of 17-year-old Katelyn Beard, has been captured by Jackson Police. He was taken into custody around 5:45 in west Jackson near where Beard's vehicle was found earlier today.

A burning cross, a Smith county man beaten and shot by a family member, and in critical condition. We are told this is much more than a family feud, and outraged family members are calling it a "hate crime."
The National Weather Service has confirmed two weak tornadoes in Ohio between Thursday night and early Friday afternoon.
The first was estimated to have touched down at 10:55 p.m. Thursday near Phillipsburg in Montgomery County. The NWS rated it an EF0 with an estimated maximum wind speed of 85 mph. Its maximum path width was 100 yards and the NWS says it traveled 1 mile.
The second was confirmed in Delaware County shortly after 12 p.m. Friday. The damage was located about 5 miles east of the city of Delaware. According to the NWS, preliminary information from the damage survey team shows the damage was consistent with a weak tornado.
More specific details will be released Friday afternoon.
The enhanced Fujita scale classifies tornadoes into the following categories:
EF0: Wind speeds 65-85 MPH
EF1: Wind speeds 86-110 MPH
EF2: Wind speeds 111-135 MPH
EF3: Wind speeds 136-165 MPH
EF4: Wind speeds 166-200 MPH
EF5: Wind speeds greater than 200 MPH
