CLARKSVILLE, TN (WSMV) -

In these freezing temperatures, being stuck outside can be dangerous, but what one man is accused of doing to get warm got him in trouble.

The man allegedly kicked in the door to Rooter Plumbing in Clarksville, setting the alarm off.

When police showed up, they say the man told them that he worked there.

According to The Leaf-Chronicle, the man said his car ran out of gas and was stuck in the mud and he broke the door because he forgot his key and was cold.

When the business owner showed up, he told police that the man, 25-year-old Christopher Bishop of Atlanta, was not his employee and that he'd never met him.

Police say nothing was taken from the business, but two doors were damaged.

Bishop was charged with burglary and booked into jail on a $25,000 bond.
