Two people were shot after a fight over marijuana at an Akron gas station late Thursday night.
The double shooting happened at 11:15 p.m. at the Circle K on East Exchange Street.
According to Akron Police, Larry Givens II, 20, attempted to sell marijuana to another man, Andrew Stafford, 26. Stafford was with his cousin, Troy L. Craig Jr., 27, from Atlanta, GA.
19 Action News has learned that the men started to argue over the marijuana. During the argument, shots were fired by Craig and Givens. Givens ran into the gas station and employees called police. Givens had a gunshot wound to his leg and was transported to Akron City Hospital where he was treated and released. Stafford and Craig fled the area.
While on scene on East Exchange Street, officers received a call in the 700 block of East Crosier Street for another shooting victim. Officers found Craig, Jr. with a gunshot wound to his abdomen. He was transported to Akron City Hospital where he is listed in serious condition.
Detectives arrested all three men involved in the shooting. Stafford was charged with aggravated robbery, tampering with evidence, having weapons while under disability and complicity to commit felonious assault. Troy Craig, Jr. was charged with aggravated robbery, felonious assault and having weapons under disability. Larry Givens II was charged with trafficking in drugs.
Troy Craig Jr. is also wanted for murder in Atlanta, Georgia.
