Medication return boxes set up in Lucas County

LUCAS COUNTY, OH (Toledo News Now) -

There's a new way to fight the Heroin/Prescription Drug epidemic in Lucas County.

New medication return boxes have been set up around the county so that unused prescription and over-the-counter medications can be safely collected and disposed of.

The boxes are for pills only. No liquids or gels will be accepted.

Medications can be dropped off at the following locations:

Monclova Twp. Administrative Offices Mondays from noon to 4 and Tuesday through Friday from 8am to 4pm

Waterville Police Dept. Monday through Friday from 8am to 4:30pm.

Whitehouse Police Dept. Monday through Friday from 9am to 2pm or you can call 419-213-4949 after 2pm and an officer will meet you at the Whitehouse Police station.
