Mayor D. Michael Collins's administration had said there would be no money in
the budget to open pools in 2014. Now, Toledo Police may be able to help the
city afford it.
Collins met with Police Chief William Moton and other law enforcement officials
Monday to discuss the plan. The money would come from a fund that pays for the
Police Athletic League.

could spend less by opening only some if its pools.
