NORTH OLMSTED, OH (WOIO) -

A fund has been established to help offset mounting medical costs of an injured North Olmsted Police Officer.

Officer Jack Justice remains hospitalized in serious condition following an accident on March 1.

While off-duty, Officer Justice was involved in a two-vehicle crash in the early morning hours in Liverpool Township. 19 Action News has learned the officer's car was struck by another driver who had lost control. The crash remains under investigation with the Medina Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol.

Officer Justice, a husband and father, has underwent surgery and is slowly showing signs of improvement.

The North Olmsted Police Department has set up a fund at the North Coast Credit Union in Fairview to help the Justice family with costs.
