CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) -

Cleveland Police Officer Edwin Powell pleaded not guilty to assault, menacing and interfering with civil rights during a court appearance on Tuesday.

Officer Powell allegedly got into an altercation while working a second job as security at the Horseshoe Casino.

Officer Powell remains free on bond, and has been placed on administrative duties.
