CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) -
The Cavs were in the "Q" hosting the Oklahoma City Thunder Thursday and things quickly took a turn for the worst. The Cavs came out swinging hard as they controlled the first quarter. But, as soon as the second quarter began Kevin Durant began to heat up. Durant put the Thunder up by ten at the half and the lead only grew from there.
By the third quarter the Thunder were up by as many as 24 points. Dion Waiters tried to bring the Cavs back as he cut the deficit to single digits in the fourth but it wasn't enough. The Cavs would lose 102-95. Waiters finished with 30 points. Durant finished with 35 points. Russell Westbrook did not play (coach's decision).
