Dewayne Thompson, wanted in the wounding and kidnapping of 17-year-old Katelyn Beard, has been captured by Jackson Police. He was taken into custody around 5:45 in west Jackson near where Beard's vehicle was found earlier today.

A burning cross, a Smith county man beaten and shot by a family member, and in critical condition. We are told this is much more than a family feud, and outraged family members are calling it a "hate crime."
For those in Wood County reviewing restaurant inspection reports could soon be as easy as logging online!
The Wood County Health Department is in a testing phase posting restaurant inspection reports online and the portal could soon be available to everyone.
Take Poco Piatti for example on Chapel Drive in Perrysburg. Inspectors found three repeat violations. You can read the report in its entirety to see inspectors commenting on the facility's damaged flooring and lack of smooth and easily cleanable walls and ceilings.
At KFC and Long John Silver's on North Main Street in Bowling Green inspectors followed up on a complaint. The complaint alleged employees were not washing their hands nor wearing gloves. However, the complaint could not be verified and was dismissed.
However, inspectors did find a great deal of buildup of dirt, dust and debris on the facility's walls, ceiling and prep line.
If you're leaning toward Italian tonight, Biaggi's restaurant at Levis Commons in Perrysburg welcomes you to its clean and safe restaurant. No violations were noted during this month's walk through.
Also in Perrysburg along Oregon Road, Pizza Hut received no violations.
Folks at Wendy's Old Fashioned Hamburgers on Main Street in Bowling Green worked to fix a cooler holding food at improper temperatures. It's now in good standing with the health department.
At another burger place in Bowling Green, CJ's on North Main Street had no violations.
