The calendar may say spring and the Easter Bunny is just about ready to make an appearance. You wouldn't know it with this winter-like weather we've been getting.
However, that's not stopping retailers from putting their best spring foot forward.
We caught up with shoppers today at the Great Northern Mall in North Olmsted, where some are buying into spring now despite the dreary forecast.
"I just got a few florescent colored T-shirts," says shopper Angela Rodriguez.
One woman was sporting a spring hat to go with the shorts she bought.
"I'm just ready to have sun and go outside," says Lekesha Brown.
Experts say when the weather is better more people tend to shop for spring and summer goods and apparel.
According to reports last year, the national demand for things like shorts fell 12 percent, and last March wasn't nearly as bad as this year.
Experts are asking if the forecasts will put retail sales in a deep freeze.
"Sometimes you have to go through the bad to get to the good," said Paul Sobol.
