TOLEDO, OH (Toledo News Now) -
ProMedica has announced a plan to move its headquarters, and
about 700 employees, into the Key Bank and Toledo Edison Steam Plant buildings
in downtown Toledo.
Those 700 drivers could create a parking issue downtown once
the move is completed.
On this week's episode of Leading Edge with Jerry Anderson, Mayor
D. Michael Collins says it is possible a parking garage could be built at Promenade
"Is the city going to
let them build a multi-story parking garage in that open area overlooking
promenade park and the river?" asked Jerry Anderson.
"That will be a decision
that we will be working with council on. I mean, the opportunity that this
presents and the commitment that ProMedica has made, that's going to change the
footprint of downtown Toledo well, well into the future. And we will be
probably a green city when this is over with. But that's good because that will
be ProMedica green," responded Mayor Collins.

Edge with Jerry Anderson. Leading Edge airs each Sunday at 8:30 a.m. on WTOL
and 10:30 p.m. on FOX Toledo.
