PERRYSBURG, OH (Toledo News Now) -

Parents in the Brookhaven subdivision off of 5 Point Road in Perrysburg are on high alert after a second possible stranger danger incident in the past few months.

Back in November, a fifth grader was approached by a man in a truck. That child got away, but a similar incident recently has parents on edge.

"They [the children] came up to my husband and told him these two men were driving in this car and passed them several times and it really scared them," said Julie, a mother who lives in the development.

Julie says her husband saw the car circling the block and got the license plate number. Julie called the police on their non-emergency number to report the incident.

Julie then started contacting other mothers, and eventually the Brookhaven home owners association sent an email to everyone who lives in the subdivision informing them of the incident.

Julie says the kids did a great job.

"[I am] very proud of them that they recognized that this car kept watching them and driving past them; very proud of them," said Julie.
