City of Toledo crews have already filled 40,000 potholes this year, but countless more remain on glass city roadways.
Officials say crews have done much of the work on main roadways, and are now starting to fill holes on residential streets.
Crews will also be resurfacing areas with a large number of pot holes.
Leaders say the long winter, combined with the number of pot holes has left the city playing catch up.
"We are going back to take care of the leaves, we are going to get into street sweeping, we haven't even touched the alley cleaning yet, so we have a lot of things that are coming up and we haven't been able to start because of the winter lasted so long," said Toledo Commissioner of Streets, Bridges and Harbor Dave Welch.
