An early morning shooting in Troy sent two people to the hospital with gunshot wounds.
The Troy Police Department responded to a call about shots being fired at the 13000 block of U.S. 231 South at 1:45 a.m. Officers came into contact with a crowd and were told that the suspects had fled the scene heading south on U.S. 231.
Officers were then called to Troy Regional Medical Center in reference to two victims that had received non-life threatening gunshot wounds. One of the victims had been shot in the ankle, and the other victim had been shot in the calf. The two victims stated that they had been shot, at the same location that police responded to earlier, after a fight had broken out. Neither victim could tell the officers who had shot them.
The Troy Police Department is currently investigating the situation. If anyone has information about this case, they are asked to contact police.
