The Reds activated catcher Devin Mesoraco from the disabled list.
Mesoraco strained his oblique the final week of spring training and missed the season's first six games. It'll be his first season as the Reds primary catcher after hitting a career best 9 home runs and driving in 42 runs in 2013.
To make room for Mesoraco on the Reds roster, the team sent Tucker Barnhart to Triple A Louisville. Barnhart, who made his major league debut this season, had two hits in two starts with the Reds.
The Reds start a three game series in St. Louis Monday before returning to Great American Ball Park this weekend.
