Four Northern Kentucky residents were arrested Thursday after authorities found 35 small methamphetamine labs in Elsmere, Ky.
Agents from the Northern Kentucky Drug Strike Force, assisted by officers from the Elsmere and Erlanger Police Departments, executed a search warrant at an address on Eastern Avenue in Elsmere, Ky. Thursday afternoon.
Officers said they found 35 one-pot meth labs at the home. Authorities said that each one-pot lab was capable of producing several grams of methamphetamine.
All were charged with multiple counts of manufacturing methamphetamine, a Class B felony. Each count carries a sentence of 10 to 20 years in prison.
Kathy Turner lives across the street and says in the past couple months, she's noticed some odd activity from the house.
"I leave early for work in the morning and I would see cars going in. They would pull into the driveway, go in, come out and leave. I thought it was kind of bizarre because it's 3:30 in the morning," said Turner.
Turner had an idea they were selling, but was surprised to find out the four were also manufacturing the drug.
"I have grandchildren. They could have been playing in the yard or here at my house and if it would have exploded, how would that have affected us? We could have had loss of life, loss of property," said Turner.
