Dewayne Thompson, wanted in the wounding and kidnapping of 17-year-old Katelyn Beard, has been captured by Jackson Police. He was taken into custody around 5:45 in west Jackson near where Beard's vehicle was found earlier today.

A burning cross, a Smith county man beaten and shot by a family member, and in critical condition. We are told this is much more than a family feud, and outraged family members are calling it a "hate crime."
The Brownstone Tavern along
West Alexis Road racked up ten violations in this week's Restaurant Ratings
Report. Inspectors say there are ants in the facility under the dish machine.
During the visit, the
health department also found foods being held at unsafe temperatures, a pan of
roast beef sitting directly on the floor and inadequate cleaning.
Seven violations were
issued at Little Caesar's Pizza on Monroe Street. Inspectors say the facility
must replace its door gasket on a walk-in cooler because it's torn. This has
been a violation on its past seven inspection reports. Other violations included cracked food
containers, as well as build up on the outside of other containers.
Taco Bell on Airport Highway
in Toledo is clean and safe with zero violations on its latest report.
An ice cream treat may be
what you need to round out the day at the Dairy Queen on West Alexis Road. It
too is in great standing with the health department; no violations.
Six violations were found
at the Alexandria Diner on Monroe Street. They include build up on the walk-in
freezer door, no date labels on hummus, cut lettuce and rice and six boxes of
food were found stored on the floor.
J-Cups Pizza on West Alexis
Road is ready to serve some pie. No violations were noted during its most
